Starting in Sans Souci NSW, the drive will commence at 8:00 am sharp after a mandatory briefing at 7:00 am. The route will take participants through some of Sydney's most breathtaking landscapes, including the Royal National Park, Clifton Sea Bridge, Port Kembla, Macquarie Pass, and Bowral in the Southern Highlands. The full itinerary will be supplied prior to the event.
The Thunderbolt Run Sydney Supercar Takeover is not just about the drive; it is an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and to make lasting memories. After an adrenaline-fueled drive of approx 3 1/2 hours, participants will be treated to a delicious 2-course lunch and 2 beverages at the Gibraltar Hotel in Bowral, Southern Highlands. Thunderbolt Run October 9th – 15th 2023 - A Drive for a Cause
The Sydney Supercar Takeover is the warmup event for the big event held at the end of the year. The inaugural Thunderbolt Run event held in November 2022 was a roaring success, raising $30,000 for Beyond Blue, for mental health conditions. With this incredible achievement, the Thunderbolt Run team is gearing up for its main event, scheduled for October 9th-15th, 2023, which will raise funds for Australian Prostate Cancer Hospital Research.
In Australia, 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Sadly, about 3,000 dads, brothers, husbands, sons, and mates lose their battle with prostate cancer every year. Early detection is essential, and research is key to saving more men from prostate cancer.
